Portland Trail Blazers Sign Rookie Forward Dante Cunningham

The Portland Trail Blazers have just signed rookie forward Dante Cunningham to a multi-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cunningham played 4 years at the University of Villanova. He averaged 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds last season. He was drafted 33rd overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2009 NBA Draft.

The Portland Trailblazers have just announced that they will be wearing throwback jerseys for the 2009-2010 season. The home jersey (ripcity) is brand new and has never been worn in a game. The road jersey (blazers) has been worn in a game. It was, in fact worn during the '77 glory days! All of this is in honor of the 40 great years of the Portland Trail Blazers. One of the preseason games will be played in the Memorial Coliseum. The Blazers will take on Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. All tickets will be priced at $19.70 the year the TrailBlazers started the orginization!
